Chocolate Dipped PB Dates

Notes:

This is not a low calorie dessert. However, it is a more nutrient dense choice for a sweet treat and a good source of fiber!

Ingredients:

1 cup dark chocolate chips

20 pitted dates

Peanut Butter (fill a piping bag)

Supplies:

Pot for boiling water.

Glass bowl.

Piping bag.

Toothpick.

Parchment paper.

directions:

  1. Fill a piping bag with peanut butter.

  2. Cut the tip off the piping bag and fill each date with peanut butter.

  3. Make a double boiler and melt the chocolate chips.

  4. Use a toothpick to pick up each date and sweep it through the melted chocolate. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off for a moment before you lay each date on a baking sheet covered by parchment paper.

  5. Place the dates in the fridge until chocolate hardens.

  6. Store at room temperature.
